Compression hosiery sold in stores is primarily graduated compression (>20 mmHg) via prescription or physician referral. Certified fitters are available in the store to measure patients.

About Our Pharmacist
Daryl Balog
Pharmacist/Owner
Pharmacist Licensee 7799
Daryl Balog is a registered pharmacist and owner of The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Spruce Grove. He graduated from the University of Alberta Pharmacy program in 2010. Prior to that he completed his Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia University of Alberta in 2006. Daryl has worked at a variety of pharmacy locations and began working permanently in Spruce Grove in 2014. He decided to open his own practice in 2016 to allow him more time with his patients and work in an environment where he could be an important member of his patients’ health care team.
Since graduating Daryl has obtained his Additional Prescribing Authorization from the Alberta College of Pharmacists, his injection certification, and has certification in fitting compression stockings. Daryl also has interests in travel medicine and compounding for which he has received additional accreditation in non-sterile compounding and personalized compounds for pain management.
